I’ve fawned over Phillip Lim’s Pashli for yeeeeeears.

Ever since my friend purchased a medium-sized Pashli at Nordstrom, I decided I needed one too. I need a Pashli in every single size available. But for the price? Even the smallest-size Pashli Mini is a whopping $695. I thought I was fine just living vicariously through my friend.

So you can imagine when I found a similar bag on AliExpress, I went bananas and ordered it right away.

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting such a great quality purse. As soon as I opened the package, I got a whiff of fresh leather. The purse was packaged inside a dust bag and even came with a leather swatch.

Fail-safe, fake-safe: This purse has no logos or badging claiming to be a 3.1 Phillip Lim genuine authentic. The body is slightly narrower than its wider Pashli counterpart as well, which I favor more visually.

More Designer-Inspired:

I purchased this purse back in 2013 and since then it has been a staple in my wardrobe. However, this purchase was from a different seller and mine is slightly different – the edges of the leather are not burnished, and instead have a zig-zag cut. The one I found below is the exact same one, minus the zig-zag edging, which makes it that much closer to the real one. This purse literally goes with anything – you can play up a casual outfit or take a statement outfit down a few notches. The best part: this purse has yet to break, rip, tear, or stain on me since I first bought it!

The seller is no longer active on AliExpress, but here is an even better similar bag available for $56.65 on AliExpress.com, in several colors. Bonus: this particular bag does not have the zig-zag edging that my purse has, which is one step even closer to the real one!

Also available is the medium size one for $71.82.

Hi, I am just seeing this post! This is awesome. How would you rate the hardware on your purse? is it too shiny?

Hi Layla! No, it’s not too shiny at all – it’s just like the real one. Hardware is standard. I think perhaps my photos next to the window were making them appear shinier. 🙂
