Chanel’s iconic color block slingback has recently made its way into modern fashion. Several years ago many of us would have written this shoe off as “a shoe only Mom would be caught dead in,” but with vintage fashion and 90’s styles coming back into trend, many women are gravitating towards this ultra-chic “grandma” shoe. Paired with distressed jeans and a simple T-shirt, this shoe is the perfect touch of luxe to any casual outfit.
Surprisingly enough, when compared to Chanel’s handbags, the $800 price tag of these Chanel slingbacks seems minimal. Unfortunately, many of us can’t afford to pay that much for a pair of shoes, no matter what brand. So I’ve teamed up with one of my favorite brands Kaitlyn Pan to share with you a fierce contender of Chanel’s coveted shoe: behold, the Kaitlyn Pan Two-Tone Block Heel Slingback.

This is my 3rd pair of shoes from the Kaitlyn Pan brand, and their packaging does not disappoint. Although they have several designer-inspired shoes, their packaging feels just as luxurious as a pair of authentic high-dollar shoes. A thick and sturdy box, standard dust bags, additional heel tips, and a canvas carrying bag are standard for all Kaitlyn Pan shoes.
I’m no longer surprised by the attention to detail Kaitlyn Pan has when it comes to creating designer replicas. Many designer-inspired shoes on the market may look similar to its original inspiration, but construction and materials are usually extremely lacking, allowing for a short life.

Like the other Kaitlyn Pan shoes, these heels are no exception to their commitment to quality: The stitching is perfect, like always, and no sloppy glue was to be found.
Materials: While some might be pleased with genuine leather, these shoes are even better quality – the upper is made of genuine sheepskin, and the insole is lambskin. For those of you who’ve found a pair of genuine leather shoes similar to Chanel’s: you haven’t lived if you haven’t stepped into a pair of shoes with lambskin insoles… it’s like butter on your feet. And, it’s much more breathable, which makes this a shoe perfect for warmer weather.
Fit: I normally wear a 7 in heels, but found that 6.5 fit me better. The one thing I wished fit better is the slingback strap, as it is a little loose. Chanel’s original doesn’t have an adjustable buckle either (which surprises me), but it does fit much more snug and secure.
Some of My Favorite Designer-Inspired Pieces:
- Designer-Inspired by Ainifeel: Valentino Rockstud Spike Quilted Top-Handle Bag – $2,795 vs. $109
- The Look For Less : Gucci Dionysus Mini – $1,700 vs. $85
- The Look For Less: Chloé Drew – $1,650 vs. $39.90
- The Look For Less: Gucci Dionysus Bag – $1,350 vs. $86
- Designer-Inspired Gift Guide: Italian Leather Handbags Under $105 From Fashion Drug
Comfort: These heels are only 2.5 inches high, which makes for a very comfortable shoe, The slingback straps don’t cut into my heels either. However, for those desiring a flat shoe, KP also has a lambskin ballet flat version of Chanel’s flats that retail at $750, for only $80.00.
Although any girl would kill to own some Chanel, I think their designer color block slingbacks aren’t worth the $800 price. The design is too simple to justify such a heavy price tag, and aside from the tiny double C logo detail on the heel, there is almost no difference between the Chanel originals and Kaitlyn Pan’s. And for less than $100, how could you go wrong?
Kaitlyn Pan’s Two-Tone Block Heel Slingback and Two-Tone Ballet Flats can be purchased on Amazon for $84.99 and $80.00 respectively, with free two-day shipping available for Prime members. Thanks for stopping by! Yes, never be afraid to wear dupes! You’re being more money-savvy than most by doing so 😉
Just found your blog today, and I am so happy to have come across it! You have great content, and I really enjoyed reading your post about dupes versus fakes. I ordered a pair of these dupes of the Chanel ones, and I can’t wait for them to come in.

Do you do the Chanel sling back with the Chanel bags on the heel please ?
So would you recommend everyone size down in these? I’m a pretty standard 7.5 and live in NYC. I’m struggling between getting the 7 or the 7.5.
