9/12/19 UPDATE: Unfortunately, Amazon has removed Kaitlyn Pan from their website. If there is an update, I will be sure to post it here.

[slide-anything id=”5270″]Thigh-high boots are all the rage this winter season, and I’ve noticed that one particular boot by Stuart Weitzman has been the most coveted out of all of them.
Stuart Weitzman’s thigh-high boot comes in many different variations, but the flat Lowland, high-heeled Highland, and the Thighland (a mid-heel boot) are one of the top 3 crowd favorites among the brand.
I previously owned a pair of faux-leather thigh-highs but with the platform I felt like they were a bit hooker-esque, and with my thicker thighs and calves the thickness of the synthetic material sort of made me look like a blocky Lego man. I started looking for a curve-conforming thigh-high boot that fit like a second skin, and low-and-behold Stuart Weitzman’s was the one for me. Unfortunately, the Highland boot I’d been eyeballing retails for about $798 at most major retailers.
For my regular readers, if you caught my review of Kaitlyn Pan’s Studded Slingback Heel, I raved so much about the quality of the shoe and made a bold statement of comparing it to the original Valentino Rockstud. Well, Kaitlyn Pan has done it again with this gorgeous boot that’s similar to the Highland.

I’ve always thought of designer-inspired shoes to be second-rate when it came to packaging, construction and materials, but just like the last pair of shoes I bought from them, this was no exception. The box itself is extremely thick like designer shoes, and the boots were packaged individually in dust bags. They also threw in a cute canvas carrying bag and an extra pair of heel tips for future replacement.
Putting them on: The only thing that’s rough with skin-tight boots is having to roll them up. In this case as to not stretch out the thigh, folding it over and sliding it onto your foot and then proceeding to gently pull the rest up over the thigh is key here.
Quality: Okay, this is where I’m in awe. Although Stuart Weitzman’s boots are made of suede, Kaitlyn Pan’s is made of microsuede – a synthetic microfiber that is water-repellent. Some people may disagree that synthetic materials are inferior compared to genuine leather or suede, but I have to disagree here. Genuine suede is extremely tough to take care of, and when wet can be a disaster. And just like leather, there are so many levels of quality within synthetic fabrics. The microsuede used for this boot feels just like real suede but smoother.

Insole: The insole is made of genuine lambskin, and I love that Kaitlyn Pan uses these on many of their shoes. Lambskin breathes much better than cow leather and polyurethane (of course), and the difference is significantly noticeable when I wear my KP rockstuds. Normally your feet slide all over the soles from sweat, but the lambskin is amazing at ventilating, which prevents this. Added bonus: lambskin is hella soooooooft. They’re like clouds on your feet.
Fit: I was actually really surprised that these boots were able to retain my plump and delicious thighs. I’m 5’1″, so the shaft height of these boots were already something to consider for me, but I was even more worried that my damn Chun-li thighs wouldn’t fit.
BUT THEY DO, THOUGH.
And the best part – I’ve been wearing them for some time now, and even over jeans they haven’t stretched out significantly. There is no sag with these boots, and thanks to the lining at the thigh they don’t slip down.
Pro-tip: I recommend cutting a pair of jeans just above the knee specifically for these boots. Unless you’re a skeleton, wearing full-length jeans with this can be a monster to wrangle on.
Comfort: As expected, these boots are extremely comfortable. Despite the 4-inch height, the block heel makes it extremely comfortable, and the stretchy and flexible material gives you that “barely-there” feeling while keeping you warm.
Kaitlyn Pan’s thigh-high boot can be purchased on Amazon for only $99 and includes free returns. Will you be getting a pair?
