Still on the quest for a job to supplement my blog, but unfortunately the job hunt is looking a bit dreary. At this point I don’t think I’d be too shattered if I don’t find a job anytime soon, because with every day that passes, my blog is starting to generate more income, and it’s an incredibly exciting feeling.
Lately, I’ve been really focusing on a few personal things in life. Skooter, our beloved pitbull, was recently diagnosed with skin cancer a few days ago. This has been really rough for me because I love this dog so much and Jun and I had rescued him from abandonment before, so I don’t want to accept this sort of reality.
There is a chance that the cancer won’t spread since the doctor removed the entire cancerous mass during surgery, but we won’t know if it decides to spread instead. The vet bills for his skin condition have become very costly, so we are currently trying to find a better home where a new owner can provide a better living situation and have the means to pursue cancer treatment.

I won’t lie, with finances being so tight and the lack of sufficient income coupled with the cancer diagnosis, it’s been pretty hard trying to keep positive lately. However, I am very surprised that with my stress levels somewhat shooting through the roof, I am managing my eating disorder impulses very well. This is the first time I’ve felt very much at peace and in control of my binging and purging impulses – especially with my weight having risen significantly after all the holidays. This may seem like such a small conquest for most, but the feeling of being in confident and in control is a first for me. This accomplishment makes me feel that I can handle anything that will be thrown at me, so long as I don’t give up fighting and continue on.
In other news, buckling down on the development of my blog and job hunting has gotten my subjected to my desk at home, but I don’t really mind too much because I’ve been able to catch up on my favorite shows as I work. Here are the shows I’ve been watching lately that I definitely recommend.
Currently Obsessed: TV Series
- DRAMA/ACTION/HORROR: The Walking Dead
- DRAMA/SCI-FI: Black Mirror
- ANIME: The Seven Deadly Sins
- ANIME: Knights of Sidonia
- ANIME: Sword Art Online II
- ANIME: Food Wars
- KOREAN DRAMA: Hello, My Twenties!
I’ve got a few other shows I’m trying to watch, like the latest season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (one of my favorites since I’m a huge comic book junkie as well as an anime nerd). I’m also a bit overwhelmed with all of the Amazon-produced tv shows Amazon Prime Video has to offer too – did you guys know that they have a streaming service?
I suppose Amazon’s Prime Video service is an attempt to compete with Netflix, and their Amazon-exclusive shows might prove that true. For those of you who stream low-quality TV shows online, Prime might be the way to go since you already get free two-day shipping as well as Amazon Music and much more. You can click here for a free trial!
