With plastic surgery and “non-invasive” procedures becoming more and more affordable, people like your next-door neighbor are getting swept up in the storm of cosmetic enhancement, especially with lip fillers. Although plumper lips are now falling into the price range of average affordability, this commodity still does not fall into the category of everyday priorities like a functional car or a much-needed replacement water heater.
According to the online plastic surgery resource RealSelf.com, the average price of lip fillers is around $850, while Cosmopolitan claims this procedure can be anywhere between $500 – $2,000 depending on your area. And this isn’t a one-time payment either – the results of hyaluronic acid-based lip fillers only last about 6 months or so, which can make this cosmetic procedure pretty expensive to maintain long-term.
With pricey, short-lived lip fillers out of the question, relying on lip liner can only do so much. Fortunately, PMD Beauty has invented a new at-home system for us women who can’t afford the bi-annual upkeep of lip fillers.

What is the Kiss Lip Plumping System?
The PMD Kiss is a lip plumping treatment system that uses pulsating vacuum technology along with an accompanying serum to help provide instantly fuller and natural-looking lips. In a nutshell, it’s like an extra-tame, extra-safe, foolproof version of the intense (and dangerous) Kylie Jenner lip challenge.
The Kiss’s vacuum technology gently pumps your lips to encourage the growth of collagen, which helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Results last all throughout the day and grow into long-lasting results with frequent use.
The Kiss is an easy-to-use handheld device that works together with the Smart Lip Plumping Serum. Before you begin, apply the serum on dry lips. Select one of the appropriate-sized “Kissers” and place it on the Kiss Device.
Place the Kisser on one of the 6 sections of the lips and let it pulse for about 20-30 times per section. For me, I did one pass around all 6 sections and then went back and added a little bit more in the areas I wanted more fullness.
My Results With the Kiss
My first few times using the Kiss yielded subtle results that weren’t as noticeable as walking out of a lip filler procedure, but my lips were definitely much fuller than before using this device. Over time, I added a few more pumps with each session, which allowed me to shape my lips the way I desired.
My bottom lip always seems easier to plump up, but I noticed that my top lip requires a bit more care and attention in order to achieve long-noticeable results. I think they may have been due to the shape of my top lip though, because I notice that it doesn’t grab the suction as easily as my bottom lip does. My bottom lip has more surface area so it seemed like I was able to see a big difference after a single pass.
Color-wise, I do notice that my lips become much more even in color, a result I was definitely not expecting. I have some hyperpigmentation around my lip lines that were much less noticeable afterward. I believe the blood flow to my lips helped to color them, which makes them look nice.
Now, I know the next question you’re probably going to ask is: how long do the results last? I have been using this every day for over a week now and notice that my lips tend to “deflate” in size throughout the day. I don’t think this is a 100% replacement for lip fillers, but if you’re looking for a cheap way to get that extra oomph right before you go out to the bar with your girls and need some extra-pouty lips to score free drinks, then this is a great way to go about achieving that.
Compared to lip fillers, you won’t have an insanely huge difference before and after using the Kiss. So don’t expect to go from paper-thin lips to Kylie Jenner in a single session. The point of this is that it’s a natural way to boost your pout in a matter of moments before catching your Uber to meet your date. I’ll take it! It’s non-invasive, painless, cheap, and comes without health risks.
Lip size aside, the long-lasting benefit of using the Kiss on a regular basis is the wrinkle reduction you’ll witness, thanks to the collagen produced from both the suction and the lip serum. Although the enlarged size doesn’t last forever, the anti-aging and anti-wrinkle benefits do help to give the effect of fuller lips, which is a total plus for me. I have hyperpigmentation around my lip line that can make my lips look aged, so reducing fine lines and wrinkles on my lips makes them look much more pouty and full.
